Mullin Plumbing was founded in 1973, we have about 110 employees with our headquarters being located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and secondary office in Moore, Oklahoma.
Mullin Plumbing, Inc. handles everything that has natural gas, water or sewer going through it, including repairs, remodeling, new construction, utilities, septic, aerobic, lagoons and HVAC.
Jim Mullin's company was built on "nobody wanted to." Nobody wanted to do it as much as he did or wanted to do it efficiently or as well.
Jim Mullin was quoted as saying "I figured out that the kind of jobs that paid the most were the kind of jobs that people need the most and nobody wanted to do. Nobody wanted to unstop sewers."
The companies succeeded through hard work, through ambition, through a willingness to do jobs so filthy many others wouldn't touch them.
Under the leadership of Jim's son Markwayne, who shares those traits and the commitment behind them, Mullin Plumbing has expanded into the Oklahoma City market and is now a multimillion -dollar-a-year company with about 110 employees. It still unclogs a lot of sewers - they're "The Red Rooter" guys - but also does residential and commercial plumbing installation and repair. The focus remains strongly on repair work because, like clogged drains, the work is always there, good times or bad, new houses or old.
I have worked for this company now for 10 years, I have witnessed the perseverance and determination Mr. Mullin puts into making his company be the best at what we do. Like any Company there are times where we just don't get it right but we try, try again until we do.
Over the next several posts I will be telling you a little more about how this company came to be and explain the title "How Underdogs win.."
